February 2026 Brevet Achievements

1,500 Kilometers. Four Brevets. One Community.

February 2026 marked a defining month in our brevet calendar.

Across four consecutive weekends, riders took on the full Super Randonneur (SR) series β€” 200 km, 300 km, 400 km, and 600 km β€” within a tightly compressed 21-day window.

This achievement reflects exceptional endurance, discipline, and mental resilience β€” a true testament to the commitment our riders bring to long-distance cycling.

But February was bigger than medals.
It was about participation, progression, and collective strength.

The February Brevet Series

Organized by Coimbatore Cycling, the month unfolded as a structured endurance block:

  • 200 km β€” 1st February
  • 300 km β€” 7th February
  • 400 km β€” 14th February
  • 600 km β€” 21st February

Four escalating distances.
Four weekends.
Minimal recovery time between efforts.

Out of 136 participating riders, 117 riders successfully completed at least one brevet during the month.

Each finish β€” whether 200 km or 600 km β€” represents preparation, persistence, and personal victory.

February 2026 – Statistical Snapshot

  • Total Riders Across Events: 136
  • Total SR Achievers: 5
  • Total Brevet Distances Conducted: 1,500 km (200 + 300 + 400 + 600)

Cumulative Riding Impact

If 117 riders participated across the series, the minimum collective distance ridden (even assuming one brevet each) crosses:

If participation spanned multiple distances β€” which it did β€” the actual cumulative distance covered by the community is significantly higher.

Conservatively estimated, the February brevet block likely generated:

Across all riders and distances, the February brevet block generated 36,900+ cumulative rider kilometers.

To put that into perspective:

  • That’s nearly an entire lap around the Earth’s equator (40,075 km).
  • Or close to five round trips from Kanyakumari to Kashmir β€” top to bottom of India and back.

In just 21 days, our cycling community collectively covered a distance approaching a global circumnavigation.

This was not just a month of rides.
It was a month of sustained endurance output at scale.

Every Finisher Matters

While five riders completed the full Super Randonneur series, February belonged to every rider who clipped in at the start line and rode to a finish medal.

  • The 200 km introduced new riders to endurance pacing.
  • The 300 km demanded controlled effort.
  • The 400 km tested sustained mental focus.
  • The 600 km pushed riders into overnight resilience and sleep management.

Not every rider attempts the full SR series.
Not every rider needs to.

For some, finishing a first 200 km is transformative.
For others, progressing from 300 to 400 km is the real breakthrough.

February was a month of milestones β€” big and small.

The Super Randonneurs – February 2026

Out of 117 riders, 5 completed all four distances within the same month, earning the prestigious Super Randonneur title.

Completing 1,500 km in 21 days is not about one strong ride.
It is about consistency under fatigue.

Below are the riders who executed that challenge.

Organized by Coimbatore Cycling with Precision

Delivering four brevet distances within a single month requires operational excellence.

Conducting four escalating brevets in 21 days demands:

  • Route validation and compliance
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Checkpoint logistics
  • Timekeeping accuracy
  • Safety oversight
  • Rider support across night segments

The structured execution by Coimbatore Cycling made this compressed SR window possible, allowing riders to attempt something demanding within a defined calendar.

This was not accidental scheduling.
It was disciplined planning.

Gratitude to the Volunteers

Behind every start line and finish medal is a team working quietly.

From early registrations to late-night checkpoint supervision, from hydration coordination to brevet validation processing β€” volunteers ensured every ride ran smoothly and safely.

Long-distance cycling demands endurance from riders.
Event execution demands commitment from volunteers.

To every marshal, checkpoint coordinator, route support member, and backend organizer β€” your effort made this February series possible.

The riders rode the distances.
You enabled the journey.

The Standard Has Been Raised

February 2026 will be remembered not just for five Super Randonneurs, but for what it represents β€” a cycling ecosystem operating at a higher level.

  • Riders committing to structured endurance.
  • Organizers delivering a precise and demanding calendar.
  • Volunteers supporting execution at every checkpoint.

This was not an individual achievement.
It was a collective standard.

The benchmark has been set.
The road ahead is open.
